Asiad participation from Nepal seen uncertain

KATHMANDU, SEP 05 – Due to the ongoing political situation,  looks all set to mar Nepal’s participation in the 16th Asian Games in China. Nepal’s chances of competing in the most prestigious tournament in the continent looks uncertain Until a new government is formed due to lack of fund.

According to head of budget department at the ministry of finance Bodhraj Niraula, the sports ministry has been provided fund for preparation for the Asian Games but they will have to wait for the announcement of the new budget for their travel expenses.

Altogether 86 athletes will be representing Nepal in 14 different events at the 16th Asian Games which will be held in Guangzhou from November 12-27. The final list of players for all the 14 events have been selected and are currently undergoing close camp training in the capital.
