Sree Ram became the winner of Indian Idol 5

At last, the awaited winner of the top music reality series, ‘Indian Idol 5′ is has been announced. The winner has just been declared to be “Sriram”, chosen carefully by the audience and the three judges : Suniti Chauhan, Anu Kapoor and Saleem Merchant. Obviously, most of us knew that he was the most deserving one!

Amitabh Bachan made special appearance on the grand finale and announced the name of the Indian Idol 5 winner, which was Hyderabad-based Sreeram Chandra.

Sreeram Chandra has the experience in singing in South-Indian film industry and during the journey of Indian Idol 5, he also got a break-through with Salim-Suleiman. Winning the title and crown of Indian Idol 5 is like a dream come true for Sreeram.

After the announcement of his name as Indian Idol 5 winner, Sreeram was simply overjoyed. Bhoomi Trivedi came at the second position and Rakesh in third; however, India voted graciously for Sreeram to walk away with the crown of Indian Idol 5 winner.

The three contestants got to play the opportunity of a lifetime, to play Big B’s own game, “Kaun Banega Crorepati” with him. Only this time, role reversals took place. Mr. Bachchan for the first time, sat on the hot seat and answered the three individual questions of the contestants.

Mr. Bachchan also wrote a poem for the top three contestants, which he chose to humbly recite to the audience.

The major highlight of the Indian Idol 5 grand finale was the appearance of sexy Kareena Kapoor as the guest of honor, who glamorized the whole show with her presence.
